Cassia’s Lake Ridge Care Center has recently been ranked number one in quality indicators out of 346 care communities in the state of Minnesota. The ranking was awarded by the Minnesota Department of Human Services to recognize quality indicators for residents in skilled nursing/long-stay settings.
Not only is Lake Ridge ranked number one; the community has had an overall five-star rating from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Nursing Home Compare Report Card during the past three years.
“The five-star rating is difficult to attain, and much harder to retain; while having the highest quality indicators out of 346 facilities in the state is even harder to achieve,” says Lake Ridge Senior Health & Living Campus Administrator Jason Nelson. “We are proud of the hard work our employees and leadership provide to care for those we serve. We are honored to continue to be designated as a five-star community and to have the highest quality scores in the state.”

The CMS Nursing Home Compare Report Card features a quality rating system that gives each nursing home a rating between one and five stars. Nursing homes with five stars are considered to have much above average quality and nursing homes with one star are considered to have quality much below average.
There is one overall five-star rating for each nursing home, and a separate rating for each of the following criteria, which include nursing home inspection results, staffing and fifteen different physical and clinical quality measures (QMs) for residents. Quality Indicators are based on care areas within skilled nursing facilities for a total of 100 points; Lake Ridge currently has a score of 94.2, with the state average being 63.46.
